25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“Seek the Lord, while age may be found, call to Him, while he is still near!” This line from the opening of our first reading from the book of the prophet Isiaah is one not to take lightly. How often do we truly seek the Lord? Do we really want Him to be near, or do we only want God to be present when we need or want something?

Jesus promised, prior to the Ascension into heaven, that He would, “be with us always until the end of age.” The Lord never abandons us! He is always close by, and always wants to be invited into our daily goings and comings. He doesn't want us to feel alone, or helpless, or afraid, but instead wants us to know that He is with us in all times, that with Him all things are possible, and that we should never truly be afraid when we follow the will of God!

So, when you feel alone, or afraid, or unheard, be intentional with your relationship with God! Invite Him intentionally into every moment of every day, and Go and Make Disciples of all nations!
